Call for Papers
Deadline for Abstract Submission: 10th March, 2024
Registration is mandatory for all delegates including those presenting posters/ papers. Submitting an abstract does not register you for the conference. You need to complete the registration process and pay the respective fee to confirm your registration.
Abstract Selection
Abstracts submitted for presentation will be reviewed by a panel of experts in the field of the subject and will be judged solely on the data submitted. The final decision on the presentation format of all selected abstracts lies at the sole discretion of the Scientific Committee.
The abstracts can be submitted for the following topics under the listed sections
- Bone Sarcoma
- Soft Tissue Sarcoma
- Malignant Soft Tissue Tumors
- Malignant Musculoskeletal Tumors
- Basic or Molecular Research (Sarcoma)
Award Categories
- Best 03 Paper (oral) presentation
- Best 05 Poster presentation
- Best 03 Video presentation
Abstract Submission Guidelines
- Registration is mandatory for all delegates, including those presenting posters/ papers/ videos
- The Abstracts should be related to oncology, including surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and palliative care, etc.
- Summaries of new, ongoing, and updated research (Original work, Case report, hypothesis, good quality review, preliminary data, and thesis work) will be acceptable for submission and presentation.
- Inappropriately structured or incomplete abstracts will not be considered for review.
- Only one image of a table is allowed to be submitted with the abstract only if crucial to judge the quality of the abstract. Otherwise, the abstract should not contain any illustrations or images.
- Though the author can select their preferred mode of presentation, the scientific committee reserves the right to accept/ reject/ assign a different mode of presentation to all submitted abstracts
- Scientific Committee will select/ upgrade the best abstract from each relevant category for Oral Presentation, and the corresponding/ presenting author will be appropriately informed.
- The presenting/ corresponding author will be notified by email about the acceptance of the abstract along with details.
- Accepted presenters must adhere to deadlines and guidelines and promptly respond to communication.
- The Abstract written should not exceed 500 words.
- The abstract should contain the following subtitles
- Introduction
- Aims & Objectives
- Materials & Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
- The video presenter should have been part of the operating team, and the primary operating surgeon should be a co-author for the abstract. The abstract should mention the details of the video, such as the Introduction (why the video is being presented), Method (what the procedure is), and Conclusion. Time for a Video presentation will be communicated after the reviewing of abstracts is completed (approx. 08 mins).
The following presentation formats are applicable
- Oral presentation: Abstracts of superior quality can be selected for presentation in a session where discussants will place the research findings into perspective. The scientific committee reserves the right to assign an abstract for oral presentation to a poster presentation.
- Poster presentation: All the posters will be displayed. A specific time will be assigned where in the judges will assess the poster based on content, presentation, etc.
- Video Presentation: Video presenter should have been part of the operating team, and the main operating surgeon should be co-author for the abstract. The abstract should mention the details of the video such as: Introduction (why the video is being presented), Method (what the procedure is), and Conclusion. Time for Video presentation – 08 mins. The presenting author will receive an email with the result of the review and the Scientific Committee’s decision on the abstract.
- Surgical videos are also invited for submission. The maximum duration of the video is 8 minutes. The upper limit of the file size is 100 MB. The video should be submitted in .avi / .wmv / .mov / .mp4 format on the submission portal. Audio narration is desirable but not necessary. The submitting author will be required to present the video in a high quality format on the day of the meeting.
